Many benefits with SDH


We offer a huge range of furnished housings.

All our residencies are located nearby study sites and firms welcoming students for their intership.

An efficient public transport network (Bus and streetcar, railway station) is available close at hand.

Every housing qualifies for financial help from the CAF (Caisse d'Allocations Familiales) a french state agency which manages social care. 

  • no fees
  • security deposit to pay when lease has been signed (i.e. one month rent)
  • first rent to pay at the end of the month (no double rent)
  • help in creating the file for Locapass and APL devices (financial assistance)
  • one month for notice of termination

 


Looking for a furnished housing

Award criteria : to be a student or under 30 or to have signed an apprenticeship or a professional contract (i.e., in French law,  a "contrat d'apprentissage ou contrat de professionnalisation"). Also to be legally residing in France.

Registration file : it has to be filled in and sent with all requisite voutchers.

Financial guarantees : scholarship holders, wage earners and jobseekers may benefit from the Locapass device. Other applicants must have a personal warrant who has to sign a contract of guarantee.

Financial assistance: Every housing qualifies for financial help from the CAF (Caisse d'Allocations Familiales) a french state agency which manages social care.
This financial assistance is provided regarding tenants's means and parents of tenants's situations. Download the registration file on the CAF's website

The amount of financial assistance considers the rent and the loads. The loads are due to pay the expenditures for maintenance of the residency's common areas.


Tenant of a student furnished housing

Security deposit : it's an amount of money (one month rate without loads) to pay at the beginning of the tenancy. The secury deposit will be cashed and paid back when leaving. It will be used in case of deterioration.

Inventory : it's like a "picture" of the housing with all its equipments. At this stage keys will be delivered. If the tenants aren't personally available to sign the lease and the inventory, they could be surrogated by a third party. The third party has to show a proxy hand signed by the tenant and a copy of both his own ID card and the tenant's one.  Download an example : modèle de lettre de procuration.

Home insurance : it is mandatory. It offers protection in case of disaster.

Free service :

the residency's employee : he is at tenants's disposal to manage technical claims.

On the leave

Notice of termination : the tenants have to notify their wish to leave to SDH by a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt within the legal delay (minimum one month before leaving a student furnished housing). Rent and loads are due until the end. The housing must be insured until the end. Download an example.

Inventoy : it is made and compared to the one established when entering the housing. It allows to define the amount of the rental repairs that might be due. The amount of rental repairs is fixed by SDH, once the normal usure of the housing has been considered. 15 days before the inventory, SDH will offer the tenants an advisory visit. This visit allows to prepare the leaving under the best conditions.
